From the mid 60´s to the early 80´s GeorgeCup & Steve Eliott worked on different kind of experimental, structural and animated films. They took up and reinterpreted with the help of animated film  the tradition of Oskar Fischinger, Hans Richter and other representatives of the early abstract film: the interplay of movement and music and brought it to a new aspect of minimal art. The main work of that time: The conection bet-ween form and sound consists of twenty-six animated films which were created between 1974 and 1979 on 8 mm film in stop motion technic and transformed to the then new VHS media, which have been digitally remastered in 2009 because of their bad condition.
